I need 8 PDH by March 31 and want something that covers 1D site response (equivalent-linear vs nonlinear), selection of modulus-reduction/damping curves, and how CPT/Vs data quality propagates into hazard spectra. Courses that use DEEPSOIL or STRATA with a real case history — say a Site Class D with Vs30 ≈ 230 m/s — would be ideal; any recommendations for sessions that were genuinely technical rather than a code summary?
Took EERI Learning’s site-response series — EQL vs NL in DEEPSOIL; ‘D, Vs30≈230 m/s’ case; curve selection a bit rushed: https://learning.eeri.org.
But pEER’s short course on Site Response Analysis (DEEPSOIL/STRATA) satisfied my PDH and hit EQL vs NL; they list upcoming/recorded sessions here: https://peer.berkeley.edu/education/short-courses. Tip from a Class D (about 230 m/s) case: “don’t trust the default curves” — tie modulus-reduction/damping to PI (Darendeli or Vucetic–Dobry), scale small-strain G/Gmax to your Vs, and run a quick ±10% Vs/CPT bias sweep to see how the 5% spectra shift; the course mentions it, but I had to do that sensitivity myself.
