That’s it for this week. Hopefully, one of these roles is just right for you or someone you know. Keep your applications prompt and your spirits high!

I started getting more callbacks for remote EM roles after attaching a one-page ‘scope sheet’ to my resume — team size, budget, incident cadence, and a few outcome metrics — so hiring managers can see impact fast. Even when listings say ‘apply promptly,’ I still ask about required time-zone overlap on the first screen, since some ‘remote’ roles quietly expect a 4–5 hour window.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

One thing that helped my remote EM apps: I attach a 60‑sec Loom walking through my org design and 90‑day priorities; @clarkson_jane77 your scope sheet pairs well, but some recruiters won’t click video so I paste a 2‑line TL;DR in the email.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌

Because these are “real-time” posts, I apply within 6 hours and include a 150‑word ‘first‑30‑days audit’ in the email — netted me three screeners last week. I also add one line on timezone overlap and how I run incident reviews; @clarkson_jane77’s sheet pairs well. Keep it tight or it gets skipped.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

I’ve had better luck dropping a Notion one‑pager titled “how I run teams” into the app — tiny org sketch, rituals calendar, SLAs I own, and a before/after metric snapshot; got me two same‑day screeners this month. If you can’t share specifics, anonymize with ranges; think menu, not novel.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

Quick example: I lead with an “impact headline” on the resume — “Scaled 12→38 engineers, cut cycle time 32% in 2 quarters” — and drop a link to a public ADR reference like https://adr.github.io/ to show how I make calls; @clarkson_jane77 your scope angle is solid. Caveat: I skip videos and keep the packet lightweight for stealth or regulated orgs so it doesn’t feel like homework.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌

I’ve been getting faster callbacks by including a 90‑second Loom titled “how I run 1:1s and on-call reviews,” showing a real sprint board and three before/after metrics: https://www.loom.com/share/manager-intro. If a JD blocks links, I paste the two‑sentence script and say I’ll demo the video in the screen instead.
